WWE announces Sid Eudy for 2026 Hall of Fame Legacy class

World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has named the late Sid Eudy, professionally known as Sid, to its Hall of Fame Legacy class for 2026.[1] The class headliners include former WWE executive Stephanie McMahon, wrestler AJ Styles, tag team Demolition and former NBA player Dennis Rodman.[1]

Eudy wrestled under ring names including Sid Justice, Sycho Sid, Sid Vicious and Lord Humongous across promotions such as WWF (now WWE), WCW, ECW and USWA.[2]

In a statement, WWE said: "Known as ‘The Master and Ruler of the World’, Sid’s reputation as one of the toughest and most visually captivating Superstars cemented his legacy in WWE, and he will now take his rightful place amongst his fellow legends in the WWE Hall of Fame."[1]

WWE Chief Content Officer Paul "Triple H" Levesque posted on X: "No matter which moniker you knew him by, Sid’s intensity was palpable across the ring and through your TV screen. A multi-time champion in @WWE and WCW, and a two-time #WrestleMania main event, it’s a pleasure to announce that he will take his rightful place in the 2026 Legacy Class of the #WWEHOF."[3]

Eudy was a two-time WWF Champion—in 1996 and 1997—a two-time WCW World Heavyweight Champion in 1992 and 2000, and WCW United States Champion in 2000.[2][4]

His career featured rivalries with Hulk Hogan, Bret Hart, Sting, Goldberg, Jake Roberts and Booker T.[2] Eudy main-evented WrestleMania VIII in 1992 and WrestleMania 13 in 1997.[2]

In June 2001, Eudy suffered a severe leg injury when he fell through the ring apron during a match.[2] He wrestled sporadically thereafter, including a brief WWE appearance on Raw in May 2012.[2]

Eudy died on July 26, 2024, at age 63 following a battle with cancer.[1][5]
