NFL awards Super Bowl LXIII to Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas for 2029

The NFL announced on Tuesday that Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas will host Super Bowl LXIII in 2029, following a vote by team owners on Monday during meetings in Phoenix, Arizona.[1][2]

The decision marks a return to Las Vegas for the Super Bowl, five years after Super Bowl LVIII on February 11, 2024, when the Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers 25-22 in overtime at Allegiant Stadium to claim their second straight title.[3][4]

NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement: "We're excited to bring the Super Bowl back to Las Vegas and provide our fans another incredible experience in one of America's greatest sport and entertainment destinations. Super Bowl LVIII demonstrated the scale, energy and hospitality the city brings to global events."[1]

Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis added: "Super Bowl LVIII set a high bar, and for Super Bowl LXIII we are committed to raising it even further."[1]

Allegiant Stadium, home of the NFL's Las Vegas Raiders since 2020, has emerged as a venue for major events. It will host the NCAA Men's Final Four in 2028[5] and the Oakland Athletics are set to begin play in a new Las Vegas ballpark in 2028.[6]
